Banquets, Dreams, and Realities

Banquets, Dreams and Realities

Three years ago we put together our first banquet then our second came and we told others about our dreams, about our children and about a hope for their future. Today, I entered the reality of that dream. It has confirmed the fact that God desires us to dream, to envision what could be, and to walk in His reality today. We opened up our school this August in Puerto Cortes with our village children. Half of our school is our children. They will be getting a better education than possible in the public or private sector in Honduras. It is a result of sharing our dreams with you. Many Thanks……

When I arrived the contour of the land had dramatically changed. A two story building replaced an old swing set, a couple of trees and a small home adjacent to our local church. The mountain behind us is gone but inside the walls are beautiful children learning and studying to make a difference in their lives. As I walked the halls, I never envisioned its beauty but today it stunned me. The realization of what Papa God has done for these kids is amazing, simply amazing.  We are looking forward to generations with truth and the wisdom of God to make difference for His Kingdom right here in Honduras. These people are lovely, gentle and peaceable. They make you feel like family. One day they will be known as peace makers you watch and you will see.

Do you have a dream for the Kingdom? You should….Look into Jesus eyes and ask what you can do for the Kingdom? He will give you freedom to dream, freedom to bring and freedom to create for His glory. Our King is awesome, this dream came true because we dared to believe, dared to dream and now He has made it reality. These children will have a better life and these children will bring change for the good to their country and you will watch and see. Praise be to our God and Father who gives more abundantly than we can ask or think.

Shalom,

Faithful

Outage

Outage, outside teaching and outrageous sighs.....Today brought us another power outage lasting 5 hours. Teachers were creative as they moved into God's shade and light breeze to work on pronunciation. The remaining staff got fast at work preparing for Friday's graduation. We knew electricity was on in Puerto Cortez and we had computer work to be done so off we went...and we hit the finish line. So come Friday, families of our youngest children will be on hand to watch our graduates receive promotion from their teachers. What a celebration we are going to have! Can't wait... come back and view the pictures right here on Hearts in Honduras!

Lisa and Rick you've Trained them Well!
Tonight was the nino's "La Carta Night". So many happy faces with dum dums sticking out of their mouths and trying to talk at the same time. The children got right into their envelopes of mail. They began coming to us for new english words to write, excitement was in the air. Tonight, I was so impressed with the boys stepping up to keep the room stick free. Stick free? What do I mean? Well they are learning to care for their own home more and more and little by little by putting the trash where it belongs. Small victory yet a giant step the right direction. A little birdie told me she has been working on it in their class. Kudos for Maria!

Outrageous Sigh!
Let me tell you my highlight tonight in the lettering writing...Cristian opened up a simple 4x6 card with the words, "Te Amo Mucho Cristian" Love Lisa and this child face lit up with a smile as broad as it could go and gave a huge sigh. This tender note hit the heart string of this boy right to the core. We thank you for taking the time to send a quick note because it meant so much to the child on this end receiving it. Since words can't accurately reflect his heart here's his picture.

So as I sat there taking in the evening I began to see little feet, bare feet and unusual looking feet. Then I would slip out of my chair and borrow one shoe and be gone. You see all of you helped them when you bought plants at the plants sale. With what we earned we brought them shoes so those little feet can run and jump and play. Here is a sample of shoes we replaced on those precious little feet. Thank you ever so kindly.

As I took my seat once again, Ezekiel came over to me and gave me a picture. This picture fits my life. Look, what do you see? You see, Jesus has me on a fishing trip for life. It is joyous and has tremendous rewards bringing heaven to earth. Come along, sharing is fun!

School Rewarded

Thank you Lord for good Honduran coffee; and the house mommies for having it ready early!

Today, we headed to the classroom to help with english and math activities. Roman numerals, rounding, word sounds and english bingo were some of the fun we had in class. I think I have found where the children will speak english and not be shy. Oh what fun it was to hear them speak and speak full sentences and in good english. These little ones have been hiding lots of words and conversation but no longer. I've found the secret place where they speak. :)
We had a school district employee evaluate our school today and she couldn't say enough wonderful things about it. She was simply amazed at the classrooms, the kids and what they saw. PTL! Cudoos to our wonderful staff!

The highlight of our trips are "La Carta". From the monent we step foot in the village until the night the boys and girls get to receive their letters they ask, "When is La Carta?" The children love to receive letters and love to write back to you. They keep up with what is happening in your lives and are truly concerned about you. So keep theose letters coming! If you haven't written one of our children go onto h2hcv.org and contact us so you can begin.

Motion

What goes up and down and stays in motion with pumping? Hum…Yes, you guessed it; eight little children swinging on the swings. All eight children were laughing and calling out me, me, me. They wanted to swing higher and higher, oh my.From the high swings to follow the leader they were lead into the air conditioned room. Our team painted hands, stamped their hand prints and produced multiple finger painting cards. When all was said and done each finger was colored multiple times with Crayola paints and washed just as many. We had fourteen little ones running all around, waiting for a turn to paint and someone to tell them, well done.
Today, our newest little baby weak from malnutrition walked with the help of one of our team. This was the highlight for our day as he smiled proudly walking the entire room. I am sure God was watching him and delighting in what He saw. Another child saved from the hardships that exist all too often in this nation.
In another part of the village the older children were getting hygiene lessons for their teeth, kinder graduation pictures were taken and of course more English. I am amazed at how quickly children can learn once they put their minds to it. Today was a good day filled with lessons, laughter and lines. Thank you Papa for another chance to touch your little ones….

School Sights

Our crew has been working faithfully on this project and excitment jumps all over me as I climbed the stairway to the top of the second story. The thought of a good education with Christ at the Heart brings bubbles of joy to the surface. You don't realize the impact of a thought or vision until it begins to evolve. This school  is becoming a testimony of God's goodness through and through.

Our small team meandered around the pillars and in and out of classrooms with various people at work here and there. Our young teens were mixing cement the Honduran way, shovel by shovel and bucket by bucket up, up to the second story. As I think about the children who are going to benefit from this school and the community in which it will touch I see God so delighted. Keep praying as we walk out in faith that which God has put on our hearts to educate these children with walk of Jesus and with His face before them all the way.

Here is but a small view of what a big God can do.

Salon Celebs

June 9, 2012

Today we spent the morning preparing the second quarter birthdays and trying to wake up after a long day. Coffee was brewed and the sight was a delight. We lost electricity early on today and working above the kitchen well; we all know heat rises. We moved slowly but steadily and finished our work. As I was looking for our newest family member’s birthdays we were summoned for lunch. After closing up shop we headed downstairs to find Honduran style tacos, covered in cabbage and slices of tomato. Not only looked scrumptious but it tasted wonderful. I guess you had to be here…. So, plan a trip with me J.

After lunch we headed down to see our newest additions. They are beautiful children whom appeared to be adjusting quickly with the other children. We hung around and took pictures and more pictures. I decided to sit down and play some word games with the kids. I taught them “telephone”. The challenge was to say one sentence in English and then we would say one sentence is Spanish. To my delight they loved it and we were all communicating. For those of you who don’t know I speak very little Spanish so it was challenging for all of us but we laughed and had tons of fun.

Each day we choose our highlight and talk about how we were impacted by our family. My highlight today was Isaac coming up to me and saying hola and reaching up to be picked up. It was the first time he spoke to me in 4 years. Last March he attempted to communicate in sign language which I did not understand but was so excited at his desire to talk. Papa never stops amazing me, you see Isaac has downs and yet is growing. Thank you Papa!

This evening we presented certificates and celebrated our young girls Salon Graduation. What beautiful young girls they are. Rick and I felt honored to be able to speak into their lives. Rick asked them a question that only each one individually could answer. “How are you going to use what you‘ve learned to advance the Kingdom?” The look on the girls facing told you they were pondering, “What could I do?”

I spoke to them about this being a first seed, planting it in good soil and keeping it watered. Amy and Oscar gave some exhortations in Spanish of which I did not understand but I could feel and sense their heart for them. They have been given something special and we will wait and see how these girls will honor the King of the Kingdom with their skills. What a privilege to be involved with the Kings kids. Thank you Papa!

Big and Strong is Our God

Grande Y Fuerte es Nuestro Dios!  (Big and Strong is Our God!)

Yesterday brought new job descriptions as our team took over teaching at the school. We taught bible classes, English classes and PE classes in addition to purging Alcatraz. Jessie jumped into her normal role as substitute teacher along with her interpreter Odra and assistant Sarah. Rick deposited new English nuggets into our 18 little children, Kim along with Libby and Tori taught a new game called Shipwreck. The kids were pumped with excitement to have us filling in for the day. Our other half of the team wrapped up building projects finishing what we came to do and more.

To our amazement and excitement we were invited to attend (with our teens) a concert with bands from local Puerto Cortez and Guatemala. The evening was perfectly warm, cloud covered and a slight breeze swept through field. This was unlike the 107degrees and bright sun we baked in early that day. I’ve attended Spirit Filled Christian Concerts in the United States fully understanding their message and this one matched the gusto, heart and pursuit of His Spirit. As we worshipped strongholds were broken, faith lifted up and agreement of health and healing for this country. This body lifted up Jesus, bathed in the Presence and committed to change Honduras for His Glory.

Change in the heavenly’s came as worship arose and proclamations were made in agreement.  As I stood, danced and worshipped last evening I envisioned thousands more worshipping at future events. There is more to come and I am thrilled to be a part of His move. An interesting thing I noticed in connection to His Presence; last night we had no mosquitoes at all in the worship stadium. Hum….When the sunflowers are present the nasty little pests that keep the harvest from coming in disappear. There is an aroma of Christ with our presence and this sweet aroma leaks out. “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”  2 Corinthians 2:15-16.

As we walk and work among the lost we are bringing a new fragrance into this country that has been in darkness far too long.  I have sought out the Father about this dark place and He says in 2 Chronicles 7:14.  “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  We will continue praying, seeking, and worshipping the Father in truth for you Honduras.

Alcatraz Finished -Teens Worship- Heavens Opened I say that was a good day.

Chisels, Machetes and Hammers

What do chisels, machetes and hammers have in common? It’s teamwork, ingenuity and resolve to complete a task. Three projects, few tools and big hearts can accomplish much for the Lord. This has been our experience this week. Walk with me during our day.

Our building team has roofed the teen house, pulled enough wire thru to give it light and dug the septic system today. The cement finisher wrapped up his final touches on the exterior and the home for our teens is almost complete. Since the inception and start of the school building our boys were displaced to church families. I’d say within a week their new home will be ready. PTL!

Village rodents: spiders, cockroaches and rats……Yes, the strength of the female team overcame the infestations and pushed forward to clean and distribute needed items to our house moms. We, the team, agree that the village needs more cats, less rodents. We caught a live but dying rat today. I think it got stepped on or smashed by moving the tables while cleaning. Then a tarantula came a strutting out and scared off the workers, my team. A heavy footed sandal wiped out the critter. Now all edgy and fearful of another showing we picked lightly thru the boxes. As I returned with scrubbed tubs ready for refill my teammate entertained a cock roach in a box. I was aghast as she struggled the greatest with the other critter attacks. Lunch was served and we were spared for a while.

Tomorrow we dive into what we call Alcatraz. Alcatraz is an impenetrable storage house but only to humans. Nestled inside is home to the lost and homeless rats of Tepita. In the past, I have seen an 8 inch rat running for his life in that building. What will tomorrow bring? Well we have been praying for the Lord to increase the tools like He did with the loafs and fishes. Remember nothing is impossible with God.

This team brought with it willingness to serve despite the critters or the lack of tools. They walk with unity, love and anointing’s in their area’s of craftsmanship. Our talented crew dove into all projects with heart, ambition to finish and an attitude of I will do whatever you ask of me. We have two days left and we will finish strong.

PS…In one of our rooms was this big beautiful picture of 5 sunflowers, go figure God has not stopped speaking. I love Him, Don’t you? Do you know what the number 5 means? Hum….Grace- remember God is sending the five fold ministry to Honduras and their job description has been given.

Mudslides

Greeting Friends,

“So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  Isaiah 55:11 In my last post I mentioned the prophetic word over Honduras given by Catherin Brown. Well today I was driving and I began to count not one, not two, not three but eleven mudslides in a forty minute drive between towns. What could this possible mean? Too much rain, well yes Honduras gets lots of rain but it is another indication of the Holy Spirit's move across this nation.

Catherine Brown stated that the land will be cleansed, shaken and changed. Those who call upon the Lord will not need to worry He will protect us. Mud slides and earth movement will be indicative of spiritual atmosphere changing. This is happening now; mud slides and more mud slides.

Over the last few months the Lord has been showing me the number two. Finally after the umpteen time of seeing this number I went to work to discover what the bible says about the number two. First off, what was the first and second thing God said? In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and secondly, the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep. The number two is the first divisible number and second thing said was different from the first. It is divisible and it is different. This theme is repeated over and over in the bible: Cain and Abel; Jacob and Esau, The First Adam and the Last Adam (Jesus) The Old Testament and The New Testament.  Consider Jeremiah 18 where God has Jeremiah look at what the potter is fashioning. The first clump of clay is marred but the second is a completely  new vessel good for use. How much more can our heavenly Father change us, this nation as well as others for His Glory.

So what do mudslides and the number two have in common? Both indicate change and it will be different from the status quo or this nation’s current situation. The Lord is showing us in the natural what is happening in the spiritual. He is cleansing, shaking and changing the Nation of Honduras. And it is happening now. Yes, there is urgency in the air.

If you haven’t asked Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins and to be Lord of your life right now is the time. Don’t delay. Don’t delay to pray for your family and friends; don’t delay in forgiving others who wronged you. Time is of the essence the Holy Spirit is moving and you don’t want to be left out. You are who He loves, You are who He is fighting for and You are precious in His sight. You may see yourself covered in mud but He can make you white as snow. He says, “Come, come now”

Beginings

Connections, security, sleep...or lack of  it was the flavor for a few days. Our normal trips are on the red eye but these days its two day affair. The few hours we managed to rest proved plentiful as we launched out in search of serving. If you have keep up with my blog post discussing the prophetic word you will not be astonished when the Lord shows up once again with confirmation of His presence in this nation. The prophetic word from Catherine Brown indicates that God is sending a wave of His Spirit to counteract the pests (demonic) in Honduras.

She describes the sunflower as a plant that is planted to keep out the pests or insects that keep the harvest from coming in. The Lord has been showing me sunflower umbrellas over the last two months. I never saw a sunflower umbrella until this word was revealed to me. Well, during our travel thru San Pedro there it was a woman walking with a sunflower umbrella.  A gentle reminder His Spirit is covering this nation.

In another portion of her prophecy she stated that a sign in the natural a spiritual breakthrough will be an increase in crop yield for the farmer. With that in mind let me share a story of an event that took place today that I believe is a prophetic act. First off, we know sunflower seeds are both good to eat and good to bring forth more crops and a huge harvest. Unbeknowlingly, today one of our team brought from the states sunflower seeds she shared them with her sister. Her sister in turn shared them with a couple of our children. Then the groundsman working in the garden saw them and thought she was giving them to him to plant. Slight communication error, but no not an error at all. Another sign that of the harvest coming in. The seed was good to eat and good to plant for a plentiful harvest yet to come. Doesn't God speak to us in concrete ways just for us to hear and know He is at work. But the best part is we get to partner with Him along the way.

Read more about His words all coming true.

Pursuit

Pursuit-the act of pursuing, an occupation or pastime. What could cause a person to be in pursuit? Is it the thrill of the chase? Is it tracking down that of importance or that which is missing? Is it a quest to discover what was lost? What is it that would cause a person to hunt and search for that which is lost? I believe it can be summed up in one word, "Love". When Love is at the heart of the pursuit there is no barrier which will prevent pursuing. When one is pursuing that which is sacred to the heart astonishing results happen. One is not deterred by obstacles; one jumps over them, swims through them or climbs around them to discover if what they were looking for is there. This is the Fathers heart; He is not deterred from meeting up with you. His pursuit is one of love.

When you are surrounded by love all you want to do is receive it, to be in its presence. There is no greater love than one who lays his life down for another. We have such a one who has done that for us, Jesus. His abiding presence is the pursuit of His heart for you. You see, in His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. Why not search for that presence? Something is blinding them from seeing, something is shouting louder in their ears, something is preventing them from reaching, something is choking them and they can't taste its goodness. What could prevent one from receiving joy or eternal pleasure? Selfish desires, always looking out for me. The god of this age has blinded many and he is seeking to devour them. There is a way out, Jesus.

Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me. You see one of my pursuits are the ways and the paths of the Lord Jesus. What does the Lord your God require of you? But to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good. That sounds like pursuit to me. If you desire to be in pursuit of the fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore be walking, serving, loving and fearing our mighty God.

Psalm 20

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you
May He send you help from the sanctuary;
And strengthen you out of Zion;
May He remember all you offerings.
And accept your burnt offerings.  Selah
May He grant you according to your hearts desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand....

Why the discussion on Pursuit? Because without pursuing Him how will I know His ways? How will I know His paths for me? This is a passionate pursuit one in which will never end. Now to those of us in hot pursuit here is a link of an answer for our beloved in Honduras.

The Called

The Called
Upon entering into rest tonight the Lord reminded me of those called to this last crusade. My companions in a quest to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit and the great commission. They were impressed with one thing and one thing only, walking in His Footprints on this journey. That meant not straying to either the right or the left but in complete alignment with His desire for us. This group remained steadfast, united, and flexible in a culture very different from their normal routine.

Jo Ann Capturing it all!
As I reflect on each personality we had the dynamic, the gentle, the prayerful, the contemplative, the worshipful, the patient, the enthusiast, and the servant, all were unified. You would think we had known each other for years as we walked out each day in His light. Quite to the contrary, we were from 5 different states, some retired, some students, some pastors, some teachers, some managers, some heavy equipment workers, but our commonality was Jesus and Him glorified. You see we live to honor the one who gave it all, we live to find the treasures He hid for us each day, we live to walk out the great commission and we live as New Testament Disciples in love and power.
Reflections

My time with these chosen few are savored memories; moments flashing before my eyes in a picture and a solemn joy of their abiding friendship in my life forever. A tribute to those who have obeyed and gone forth to bring the good news of Jesus. Friends, it is without a doubt in my mind that all 8 of your seats were upgraded because  their is a Daddy in heaven who is so happy with you. May the Lord bless you and keep you close in our time apart.

Arm Out Stretched

This Crusade instilled in me the importance of pressing into His promises. It was no longer others that I read about and the things happening in their lives but this was reality, it happened to me. It happened to my brothers and sisters in Christ, it can happen to you. Our world is lost in the deprivation of sin and can't see its way out. Many can't see their error but our Father sees everything and His heart carries this burden to save us.

Let me tell you a short story of a trip I made with our children here in Honduras. We planned a beach trip for them which only occurs maybe twice a year. So the event was exciting; one in which each of the children looked forward to. We went to the beach despite the rain. The rain was warm, the water was warm and the company was warm and friendly. I slipped out into the deep water to play with the older children. After a while I headed into the beach to dig in the sand with our toddlers. They were collecting shells and I happily jumped in too. They dug for all the brightly colored shells, it was fun because they were having  fun. With sand collecting where I did not want it I swam back out to the deep. Shortly, I noticed the boys were in another area digging so I launched out to meet them. They too were collecting shells, little did I know that these multicolored shells were actually clams. Both houses, the girls house and the boys house, were collecting clams to make clam chowder. I had been assisting in this collection without realizing the value of these colored shells. They were beautiful and good to eat.

How many times do we have things, objects in our hands without realizing their amazing value?  You see our God sees us like these shells, we have amazing value and it breaks His heart to see us buried in the sand so we cannot see, or damaged by the pounding of the sea. His heart is to restore us to our rightful place with Him. His story has always been about restoration, that has not changed. His hand is still out stretched now. Will you grab it and teach others to grab it too?

So for now and always, I cling to my Savior for I want to see the value in others as He saw value in me. He restored me and He can restore you no matter where you are or where you have been. He is all about restoration. The question is where are you going? His arm is out stretched still.....

A Church in Motion

Today our team returned stateside with hearts and faith raised. What transpired these last 10 days is nothing but miracles after miracles. When Jesus said go into all the world, He meant it. He meant it when He said He would send a helper. He meant it when He said greater works you will do. He meant it when He said Love is greater. He meant it when He said teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you. He meant it when He said I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Each one of us felt His strong presence amongst us as we walked out the great commission. What’s next for the church?

When you start a rock rolling downhill it doesn’t stop unless it hits something. Our sisters and brothers at Heart to Heart in Honduras have a fire started and they decided they are going to get the flame glowing. PTL! A call was made tonight and it ignited faith in the church. When you see love and power revealed, the gospel at work, joy and excitement rises. My heart leaps for this church and this country. A little spark can ignite a whole forest. More Fire Lord!

We can learn a lot if we walk in faith taking God’s Word and His promises to heart without any doubt. Once I doubted that miracles were not for today; once I doubted that Holy Spirit baptism wasn’t for today. Boy was I wrong and now that I know the truth I am learning to walk in it. The Father gives good gifts; His desire is for us to walk closely with Him in intimate fellowship and learn to use what He given us.

If your journey with the Lord has been mundane I am here to tell you He has more for you. He has lives for you to touch; He desires to co-labor with you. Reach out to Him and watch how He shows up in your life. “My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow Me.”

Tonight at church the story of the paralyzed man by the pool was shared. When the angel stirred the waters someone else made it to the pool first.  He waited 38 years to get healed, how long are we going to wait to help the drunk, the drug addict, the prostitute, and the homeless…..

The day of salvation is today. Join me won’t you?

The End of This Chapter

The End of This Chapter

Bruce C. teaching a new hand game.
Fifty youth in the Heart to Heart church came out to hear Bruce Carlson and Bruce Van Natta’s last talk. Bruce C. spoke about four things that are necessary to have in order to change the world. First a passion for prayer and second a reality that we are in a battle with principalities and powers of darkness. Third, we must believe in miracles and finally we must have a passion for evangelism. Without these four things happening in our lives we will have little penetration into the world.

Youth wanting more of Jesus to help the Nation of Honduras!
Bruce V. quotes I Corinthians 4:20, “The kingdom of God is not in word but in power”.  He asked the youth who prayed for someone last night and saw a healing?  Many raised their hands. A young boy in the front prayed for a man with pain under his rib cage and an ankle that was damaged, both were healed and the pain left. Another young man who had received healing prayer the night before prayed for a women with back pain and it disappeared. This is love and power at work. These youth had an encounter with the name of Jesus. It is by His stripes we are healed and by faith we step out on the promises in His word.

This trip brought light into darkness, hope to those in fear and healing to those in need. It was a trip of empowering others in the name of Jesus, freeing those held in bondage and loving new brothers and sisters in Christ. This team walked into the jail to bring light where there is none, they searched the halls of the hospital to bring healing and salvation to the hurt and dying. This is carrying the cross of Jesus and this brings joy to those who are perishing.

The American Association of Christian Counselors reported that 50% of the youth 21 and over leave the church. Why, because they lack an encounter with the living God. Start building your relationship with Jesus today, don’t wait, don’t delay, dig into the Word, cry out to Him. Daily, many are perishing in this darkness, bring in the light.

Wake up Church!  The battle is not over.

Last Conference Day

Today was moving to say the least. Below is a small list of miracles and healings that occurred. We thank Jesus for His death on the Cross because without it none of this would have been possible for us. By his stripes we are healed!
Rejoicing after her healing!

·       Divine appointments at the hospital two men come to the crusade one on the first night. He asked the Lord could these guys come to the hospital for my mother.  He did not believe it would happen. Both men came to the crusade and asked the same thing not believing it would happen. We knew nothing about it until after we prayed for the six women in this hospital room.

·       28 salvation's at the hospital

·       Little girl born with a deformed leg and ankle made straight and walked for the first time without a limp (3 years old)

·       Yesterday a lady received her sight and today she prays for another woman who received a back healing and leg lengthening of about 2 inches. The doctors told her she would need surgery to repair her damaged back; she refused to have the doctors do surgery. She waited for her healing from the Lord for 20 years.

 Holy Spirit Baptism
·       70 people came up to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit

·       25 people came up after to receive a greater infilling for more power.

·       We had 30 people come up and claim back injury’s All 30 were healed.

·       Included in the thirty were some knee healings.

Completely Healed and Pain Free!
·        A teen boy fell off a three story roof, broke his leg and had a steel rod put in his leg this year. He walked with a limp and pain. Today, he received healing. No Limp and no Pain. Then he turns right around and prays for a leg to grow out for someone else and it did!

·       A man with shoulder injury with very limited rotation, which affected his whole right side, including a short leg of 1.5 inches. Pain completely removed, full arm rotation.

·       Lady with Neck pain waiting her turn to receive prayer when she felt fire hit her neck area and went down her body healing her. No one touched her or prayed for her, The Holy Spirit just touched her with fire.

·       One man and one woman sitting in line to be prayed for were healed by the time we got to them with no one praying and no one touching them.

·       Our team of ten were released to pray for about 90 people with various needs.

When we finished praying for everyone today a time of rejoicing, picture taking and sadness as we realized the week had come to an end and it was time to say goodbye, no one wanted to part. A touching story sense only a few days ago we were strangers. Nothing like the blood of Jesus to cover us and make us whole, united and intent on one purpose to honor and glorify Him. A youth night to tomorrow and more blessings from above; a Father who knows how to give good gifts.

Miracles Abound

Miracles Abound

Paula and Kim Praying
Today was reminiscent of the healing revivals of 1800’s, full of Holy Spirit baptisms, healings and deliverance's. Churches from different denominations came and were blessed and blessed. Jesus said, “Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also and greater works than these he will do, because I go to the Father” John 14:12

Today many had divine appointments with Jesus. My heart is over whelmed with joy because the presence of the Lord was so strong and our brothers and sisters in Christ were being touched in a way they have never before experienced.  Our team has felt His Presence all week long and today much was accomplished for the kingdom.

Today was about faith, love and the resurrection power of Jesus in the hands of His modern day disciples. Bruce Van Natta prayed for the first person with a back injury and that person prayed for the next person in line and this went on for two hours. Each person received a healing prayer then stepped out in faith to demonstrate the power of Jesus for the next need. It was beautiful as the body of Christ walked in the power and faith of Jesus. Each saint has this call to walk in power and faith. This is not just for a few it is for the body. A-men
Bruce Van Natta Praying

I will begin with telling you about a man who attended the Crusade on the first night. His mother was in the local hospital and wished God could bring the speakers   to the hospital to pray for his mother. But he did not believe it would happen. Today at the end of the conference, we loaded into the van to go pray for people at the hospital. We had no idea he had prayed that prayer. Actually two men asked or wished the same thing and their moms were in the same room. Bruce gave his testimony then he gave an alter call and 5 people in that room were saved. PTL! We walked into all the rooms of the hospital and a total of 28 souls were brought into the kingdom today. We visited for 2 hours. His hands and feet are at work.

This is only one story, in the next post I will list a few more but realize there are too many to write about but they are all significant in the eyes of Jesus. He loves each of us right where we are.

What if we had not come?

United Front

Heart to Heart Church

Impact! Impact! We are seeing with our hearts eyes the move of the Holy Spirit in uniting the gringo’s lives with the lives our Honduran family. But even greater is the unity forming among the neighboring churches. Our hosts are extremely warm in receiving us as guests. We are greeted with hugs, smiles and kisses. Our Honduran brothers genuinely welcome us and eagerly desire to share in what we are bringing. Today, in the men’s portion of the conference, a unique bond was formed as each man embraced one another in brotherly love. God’s love reaches through any barriers.
Bruce Carlson

In response to Monday and Tuesday’s teaching more people came to hear Bruce and Bruce. We have doubled in size since Monday. They are truly hungry for more of the Word of God as we are. The portion of the today’s teaching covered the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  They learned that we are modern day disciples and it has been demonstrated by the power of God. Each day there have been miracles. A women with partial sight received full sight. She gave her testimony with tears of joy running down her face. I believe this group of men and women are encouraged and being knit together in love and the power of His Word. Praise Him.
JoAnn talking about Spiritual Gifts

Paula speaking on Ester
The women's time together was spent reviewing the character of Ester and her submission to authority. Many of the women returned with a completed spiritual gifting questioner. They began, many of them to visit the idea of each having a gift to offer for service in the church. The women are compiling prayer requests, and needs from each other to hold before the Father in prayer. Excitement is running through each of the women. I heard today that this is the first conference where churches have come together to be taught. This country is desperate and this condition has brought out the need for such a conference. Praise Him.

We are experiencing such remarks as: we don’t want it to end, I have experienced victory being here, the time has gone by very fast because it has been wonderful, and I never thought I would hear God speak, but this week I have. We have an amazing God and He so loves each one of us. The richness of this week will be forever embedded in my heart and mind.

If you have never experienced a missions trip, and the love of God with another nation you are missing out. The blessings are so great it’s hard to even begin to number them. So step out, get your passport, get into your prayer closet and ask the Lord, “Where do you want to send me? I will go."

Tomorrow ends the conference and we expect great things. Although this protion of the chapter ends, more are yet to be written. Want to be a part of a chapter?

The Penny

What value can a bent, scarred, discolored, abandoned penny have? We see them in the road, in the gutter, thrown on the dresser, found in the pocket of our jeans or stacked in a jar. A sister, JoAnn by name, shared a story of life and how many of the scars we carry around are just like the penny. Bruised and spent we crawl into our shell to hide and weather out each day, only to realize we have another day to face tomorrow. We think no one has walked in our shoes and no one would understand. The difficulties of life have left a mark. While the penny is bent, scarred and discolored it still has the same value.

You ask why are we discussing a penny; it illustrates where many people are coming from and where we need to meet them on the road of life. Some of us are these people, others are the people we meet on the way. We need to see them as God sees them. Our conference now is teaching leaders of the local churches how to walk as Jesus did, see how Jesus saw, speak how Jesus spoke and touch as Jesus touched. This love is powerful.

Studying the book of Ester

Jesus said, Are you not of more value than they? Speaking about the birds of the air. He will provide. I do not say that with little thought. We must press in and keep pressing into Jesus. He will meet us in our place of need. We are here to meet this people in their place of need. Many are bent, scared and discolored from life, but this week they are being filled and loving it.

Today as JoAnn shared this story women here in Honduras were extremely touched. She closed this testimony with a portion of her life story and a reminder that those who relate to this story have value. Read Jermiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you to give you hope.....

If you see a penny on the ground and relate to any portion of this story pick it up.

Warriors, my apology for missing a post. We are dealing with an unstable Internet. I had this post ready last night at 10:30, lost the Internet and lost half of what I wrote. The enemy is still battling.  Keep up the prayers!

Handholder or Wave Jumper

Today we were greeted by sunshine and warmth, unlike what we have been waking up to the last three days. The tension in the air and coolness is not there. Praise Him!

I sit here reflecting on the past three days of how peoples lives have been radically changed but so has mine. You can't witness the joy in a face that is no longer in pain or has personally been touched by the Almighty and stay the same. Walking in this joy is simply fun. I want more of Him, don't you? We watched as our faith was catapulted into deeper realms of Him. He has so much more for us I can hardly wait to see what He has next. I know I will be holding daddy's hand and jumping in with both feet.

Bruce told a story of a little boy and his father going to the beach to play in the water. The boy was a little fearful of going into the water so he walked in just a ways. As a wave approached his daddy held his hand and lifts the child up and over the wave. The boy says "Daddy I am a wave jumper." But is he really a wave jumper or is he a hand holder?

You see how many times do we think we are accomplishing the task when it is the Holy Spirit is helping us jump over the obstacles in our way. We are holding onto the Holy Spirit in all we do.

Warriors you are our wave jumpers praying us through the battle. We are holding onto your hands as we jump the waves here in Honduras. What waves are you trying to jump?

We start tomorrow at 9am. Blessings

Sometimes we are the wave jumper and sometimes
we are the handholder.

Faith To Stand

Do you have the Faith to Stand, despite your obstacles?

Our God does not disappoint. Today we took our message into the heart of darkness to bring light. Six of us went directly to the Puerto Cortez jail. Bruce V. shared his testimony with the inmantes and Bruce C. brought it home. Bruce C. was so in his element that 9 people came forward to give their life to Christ. Many others were prayed for and wept. Peace loomed in us and light emitted from us. We are the light, we bring good news to those who are perishing.

Tonight was no different as we assumed the circle of unity and prayer just outside the stadium. I did not realize that I would be touched in such a significant way.

Let's begin with worship, it is the atmospheric starter for our hearts. As worhip rose all over the stadium, I found my seat and took out my camera to see what was in the atmosphere above us. Warriors all over have prayed for this country and these people; I wanted to see who might be here. As I began to take pictures I saw them, what exactly they are, signs that make you wonder. I believe they are nick named orbst. I think they must be angels. They were literally everywhere as you will notice them in many pictures. The worshippers continued to fill the stadium and song fill the air.

One local Pastor prayed a riveting prayer for deliverence for their city and country; he proclaimed a message to God that they wanted to not be known for the violence but to be know for a nation that is lead by the heart of Jesus. He spoke specifically to the mayor who sat among us and the chief of police. We can not continue without the leadership of Jesus. We must stop the bloodshed and be covered in the blood of Jesus.

Pastor Serrano shared that all of us have been affected by the blood shed and volence in this city; he shared that his family had to be removed from their home for the protection of his girls. He shared that he is not afraid because he knows the presence of God and His angels are all around. He invited the mayor to the platform along with the chief of police. Bruce and Bruce prayed over them, it was touching to say the least. Pray for these men, for their salvation and their leadership. These cities need the light and these men need faith to stand.

Tonight, the mayor thanked Heart to Heart Ministries publically for touching lives of its people. Little did he realize what was going to take place as 15 more people stepped forward to give there lives to Christ. In the last three days 49 people have taken this stand, praise God for this! After our Bruce's spoke, people were asked if they would stand with Jesus to take back their city and nation. An overwhelming number took to their feet. Praise God!

BruceV. prayed for healing for the people in the stadium and multitudes of people claimed healings. As I said God does not diappoint. An elderly women has had pain in her neck for 1 year with abdominal pain and depression. She receive complete healing and the spirit of joy came upon her. We had two deliverences tonight and two jublient women. Set the captives free and we did. There were so many healed tonight it was impossible to get much of it down but two stuck out to me. A lady who had neck surgery had a paralized muscle in her neck as a result. She develped a lump in her throat making her unable to eat for a year. She could only drink fluids. The doctors gave her no hope. She was depressed to say the least. Tonight, the power of the Lord came on her, down she went on the ground. When she got back up she was completley healed and joy inexpressible raced across her face. Then there was a young man about 12 years old who has never stood on his own feet or walked. Tonight he had Faith to Stand and then proceeded to walk around the stadium with light assistance. God did so many miracles it was inspiring.

Warriors we begin the Pastors conference on Monday 9-3 for four days. COntinue to pray :
  • Pastors would receive tools to continue the fight
  • Pastor's encouragement
  • help to answer their concerns
  • Pastor's support system
  • unity
  • wisdom as our teachers teach
  • details for set up
Thank you for your faithfulprayers the stadium was filled with electricity each night. The fight continues.
